Open Dialogue expert session titled “Digital Platforms as New Economy Drivers”
The National Centre RUSSIA will hold an Open Dialogue expert session titled “Digital Platforms as New Economy Drivers” on 11 November 2025, as part of the Platform Economy Day.
The session will be moderated by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia.
As digital technologies become increasingly central to societies in Russia and other Global Majority countries, understanding the impact of digital platforms on inclusive socioeconomic progress is vital. During the discussion, experts will examine the role of digital platforms in driving economic and social changes, share best practices, and provide real-world examples of how Global Majority countries leverage strategies to harness the potential of platform models.
The special session will focus on the following key questions:
— In what ways do platform models enhance interaction efficiency, transform economic structures, boost productivity, and drive innovation?
— What unique opportunities do digital platforms offer to consumers and businesses?
— What technological and regulatory obstacles must be overcome to advance the adoption of platform models?
The session will also emphasize industry-specific aspects of platformization.
